The calculator uses (median likes + median comments) ÷ followers × 100 across the available recent public-post sample, and shows that sample size with every result. Median interactions keep a single viral post from distorting the whole profile. Public play counts are useful context, but they are not included in this by-followers rate. Up to six source posts are shown so you can inspect the underlying public numbers.
Instagram engagement normally falls as an audience grows, so Kabo compares the result with accounts in the same follower range. The ranges are directional context, not an official Instagram score or a promise about an individual account.
