AM I SHADOWBANNED?

Check whether a TikTok reach drop needs an official review

Paste your profile link. We analyze public performance patterns across your last 15 posts, show whether a drop is worth checking, and route you to the official in-app evidence: post Analytics, Account Check, account recommendation notices, and appeal options. Public data cannot prove why reach changed.

01

Paste your profile or video link

The analyzer reads public data only — views, likes, and posting dates of recent posts. No login, nothing is stored, and the account isn't notified.

02

Read the verdict and the evidence

Three possible pattern labels, each based on public numbers: whether highs and lows interleave, whether views fall sharply across recent posts, and how engagement density changed alongside reach. These are diagnostic clues, not moderation findings.

03

Confirm it inside TikTok

No external tool can see TikTok's private moderation flags or your private Analytics. Check the post's Analytics, Account Check, and account recommendation notices before using public patterns to investigate what remains unexplained.

What TikTok officially says about shadowbans

TikTok never uses the word — its official concept is For You feed eligibility. Three official statements matter more than any myth: content unsuitable for a broad audience is made ineligible for the FYF; ineligible videos can still be found via search and your profile; and — TikTok's own words — low views alone don't mean you broke a rule. TikTok also interrupts repetitive recommendations of certain themes (extreme fitness or dieting, sexual suggestiveness, sadness, overgeneralized mental-health advice) even when individual videos are fine.

The three official checks, in order

These are the official places where TikTok exposes documented eligibility or account decisions. Check them before using any public-data tool, including this one:

Per-video: Analytics → Performance tab

TikTok says an FYF eligibility decision appears in the affected post's Analytics, with the reason and an appeal or feedback path.

Account: TikTok Studio → Tools → Account Check

Scans your account status and your last 30 posts, flags anything ineligible for recommendation, and shows violations with appeal entries.

Notices: Inbox → Account Updates and Account Status

TikTok says account recommendation restrictions are shown in Inbox and on the profile. Account Status records violations; use those notices rather than inferring enforcement from views.

How the appeal actually works

Open the relevant moderation or recommendation notice and use its Appeal option. TikTok re-reviews the decision; if an appeal succeeds, eligible content can be restored and the related strike removed. TikTok says strikes expire after 90 days and that popular or reported content may receive additional review, but neither fact explains why any particular video slowed.

What creators check after reach drops

These are creator-community observations, not official diagnoses. TikTok does not publish these recovery windows as a recovery SLA, and a public pattern does not prove that any one item caused a reach drop:

Guideline violations (14–30 days reported)

The heavier categories — hate, nudity, violence, dangerous acts — also carry strikes. Zero-tolerance categories can end an account on the first strike.

Restricted or dead hashtags (7–14 days reported)

Creator reports sometimes call a hashtag "dead" when it returns few or no search results. That observation does not show that the hashtag caused a reach change; check TikTok's notices before drawing a conclusion.

Spam signals (14–30 days reported)

Creator reports often associate mass follow/unfollow, repeated comments, very high posting bursts, or third-party automation with longer recovery periods. TikTok publishes rules against deceptive automation, but no 30-day recovery promise.

Unoriginal content

TikTok may make reproduced or unoriginal content ineligible for the FYF. It does not publish a recovery timer, so fix the content rather than waiting out a community-reported window.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I'm shadowbanned on TikTok?

Start with official evidence: check each affected post's Analytics, then Account Check and any account recommendation notice in Inbox or on the profile. Those notices can confirm a documented restriction; their absence does not prove why views changed. Use the public checker only to inspect patterns that remain unexplained.

How long does a TikTok shadowban last?

Creator-community observations cluster at 3–5 days for minor first offenses and two weeks to a month for repeat or heavier violations, but TikTok does not publish those windows as recovery SLAs. Its separate official rule is that strikes expire from an account's record after 90 days.

My views dropped suddenly — is that a shadowban?

Not by itself. TikTok says low views alone do not necessarily mean a rule violation. First check the post's Analytics for an FYF eligibility decision. Then check Account Check and any account recommendation notice in your Inbox or profile for an account-level restriction. Only if neither official check explains the drop should you use this checker's public performance patterns as a diagnostic clue, not proof of cause.

Does this checker see TikTok's internal flags?

No. The checker reads public performance patterns only. It cannot see TikTok's private moderation flags. It cannot see your private TikTok Analytics, and it cannot prove what caused a reach change. It highlights patterns worth checking, then routes you to TikTok's own notices and appeal paths. Any external tool claiming a certified yes or no is overclaiming.

How do I remove a TikTok shadowban?

Appeal documented restrictions and follow the remediation shown in Analytics or Account Check. Stop prohibited automation. Creator communities also suggest removing suspected hashtags or pausing posts for 24–48 hours, but TikTok does not publish either step as a remedy or recovery SLA. Be careful with viral "engage from the bottom up" routines: genuinely watching and interacting with videos in your niche is normal use, but TikTok's Community Guidelines do not allow services that artificially increase engagement, such as trading followers or likes, or tips for boosting engagement in fake or deceptive ways. Like-for-like or follow groups can add a restriction instead of lifting one.
