TODAY'S SOUND BOARD

See which TikTok sounds are actually climbing today

This board reads TikTok's own music chart, then looks up each sound to see how many videos use it — and how many were added since yesterday when a comparable snapshot is available. The board uses daily growth when available and total video counts otherwise. The top five are open to everyone; a free account shows the full board and today's fastest risers. Daily snapshots refreshed on demand, methodology on the table.

“New today” is how many more videos picked up this sound since yesterday — a sound climbing fast matters more than one with a big lifetime total. Video counts were read updated 15 hours ago; the underlying TikTok chart was last published 2026-09-17.

Fastest risers

New videos since yesterday divided by yesterday's count, for sounds already on at least 1,000 videos and adding 50 or more a day. Big hits rarely show up here — early waves do.

Today

Today's 5 fastest risers open to everyone in 8h 32m. A free account shows them now, while the wave is still early.

01

Read the climb, not the total

When yesterday's comparable count is available, the 'New today' column shows how many more videos picked up a sound since yesterday. Without daily growth data, use the total video counts shown instead. A track with two million lifetime videos that added forty today is finished; one with ten thousand that added two thousand is the wave you can still catch.

02

Open the sound on TikTok

The link drops you on the sound's own page, where you can hear it, see every video using it, and tap Use this sound. Check the top videos' age while you're there — a wave that started five days ago is late to join.

03

Adapt the format, not just the audio

Trending sounds usually carry a format — a joke structure, a transition, a reveal beat. Videos that ride the sound and the format outperform ones that paste trending audio over unrelated content.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find trending sounds on TikTok?

Three honest routes: this board (TikTok's own music chart, with daily video-count snapshots refreshed on demand and day-over-day growth when comparable data is available), TikTok's Creative Center (the same official source, browsable but without a day-over-day climb), and the app itself — on the create screen tap Add sound, search, then Discover more sounds and scroll to the US Top 50 and US Viral 50 charts. Those in-app charts rank sounds but do not show how many videos picked one up since yesterday, which is what this board ranks on. To check a single sound, tap a video's spinning record to open its page. Use this board for the daily read, the sound page for the final check.

How often is this list updated?

Daily snapshots are refreshed on demand, not continuously. Day-over-day growth needs a comparable count from yesterday; when none is available, the board ranks by total video counts instead. The underlying TikTok chart itself publishes on its own slower cycle, and the note under the board says when it was last published. Sound trends move in days, not minutes — anything promising minute-by-minute trending data is overselling how fast sounds actually move.

Is the full board free?

Yes. The top five sounds are open to everyone with no signup. A free Kabo account shows every sound on the board — names, covers and TikTok links — plus today's fastest risers; yesterday's fastest risers stay open to everyone. No payment is involved.

Do trending sounds actually boost views?

They correlate, with a real mechanism behind it: sounds are a discovery surface (viewers browse sound pages) and a familiarity cue in the feed. But the sound doesn't rescue a video people swipe away from — retention still decides distribution. Treat a trending sound as a tailwind, not an engine.

Can I use any trending sound in my videos?

Personal accounts can use most sounds in the app's library. Business accounts are limited to the Commercial Music Library — noticeably smaller — and using unlicensed audio can get videos muted. If you're a business account, check the sound is commercially cleared before building a video on it.

Why rank by daily growth instead of total videos?

When comparable counts from yesterday exist, daily growth helps distinguish current uptake from a large lifetime total. Without daily growth data, the board ranks by total video counts instead; that fallback does not measure today's momentum.

Why do these sounds differ from what my feed shows?

Your For You page is personalised to you; this board reads TikTok's platform-wide music chart. Both are real views of TikTok — the board shows the broad wave, your feed shows your corner of it. For niche-specific sounds, scroll your own niche and note which sounds repeat.

How early should I jump on a trending sound?

The useful window is usually the first several days of a wave. Open the sound's page and check the top videos' ages: mostly 1-3 days old means early, mostly a week-plus means the wave crested. Late entries still work when the format genuinely fits your content.
