The calculator uses (total likes + total comments + total shares) ÷ total plays × 100 across up to 12 recent public videos. Totals are added before division, so each play carries equal weight and high-reach videos contribute proportionally. Followers and saves are not part of this rate.
TikTok distributes videos through the For You feed, so many viewers may never have followed the account. Dividing by plays measures how strongly the people who actually encountered the sampled videos interacted with them. TikTok does not publish one universal high, average, or low threshold, so this page does not apply follower-based performance labels to a view-based result.

Yes. Plays are the denominator: total likes, comments, and shares are divided by total plays. A 6% result means the sampled videos produced about six visible interactions for every 100 plays; it does not mean 6% of followers engaged.
Shares are a public interaction on TikTok and belong in the numerator alongside likes and comments. Saves are not consistently available from every public source, so this calculator does not include them.
