YouTube outlier videos this week

An outlier is a video doing far better than its own channel or account normally does — for example a channel that usually gets 20,000 views posting something at 400,000. The multiple removes the size of the audience from the comparison, which is why small channels often top this board. When you study what to make next, an outlier tells you the topic or format did the work, not the subscriber count.

Each YouTube video is scored by its views divided by the median views of the same channel's recent uploads in the same format. The board is sorted by that multiple, highest first. Channels with fewer than three comparable uploads have no median, so they cannot appear here.

Every number shown was observed by Kabo's own daily collection; figures that a third-party data provider reports about a video are not used for ranking. Thumbnails and titles link back to the original YouTube page.
